Situated in the middle of the Croatian Adriatic Coast, Zadar is boasting a historic old town of Roman ruins and medieval churches, cosmopolitan cafes, interesting museums, and quite a few unique sites. While the Roman Forum, the municipal square dating back to 1st century B, the church of Saint Donat and the Five Wells Square stand for the cities long history, Zadar’s two unique new attractions, the sound-and-light spectacle of the Sea Organ and Sun Salutation, attract just as much attention from the visitors. The city is abuzz day and night thanks to the many restaurants, cafes and bars lining the ancient cobbled streets. For a unique view of the ancient yet vibrant city center and the church of St. Donat, we recommend visiting the Archeological Museum of Zadar. The museum itself is a site to behold, and the views or the city center across the street are priceless.
