Located in the Kvarner region, the northern Croatian Adriatic Sea, Rab is among the greenest Croatian islands due to its mild climate. Most of the islands historic sites are located in its main town, Rab, many of the building dating back to the 13th century. The best views of the town and sea are offered from the Rab Bell Tower, well worth the climb. Rab is famous for its sandy beaches, which is rare in Croatia, most of them around Lopar Peninsula.
