Photo Gallery: Azamara AzAmazing Event in Dubrovnik

Renowned luxury cruise company Azamara hosted its first AzAmazing event of the season in the UNESCO city of Dubrovnik last night.

Delivered by leading destination management company, Adriatic DMC, the event took place on the terrace of the imposing Revelin Fortress within the famous Dubrovnik city walls.

The company has broadened its offering of signature AzAmazing Evenings to mark the company’s launch of culturally immersive events 10 years ago.

Docked in front of the island of Lokrum, passengers aboard Azamara Journey made the short journey to the Old Harbour where they were greeted by licensed tour guides who escorted them to Revelin, led at the front by Dubrovnik Guardsmen in historical costume.

Upon arrival at the fortress, the ship's photographer was on hand to capture passengers' arrival before they ascended the stairs to the rooftop terrace. Here, a cocktail reception awaited guests allowing the time to take in the incredible sunset over the Old Town while a guitarist played on the stage.

Once all the 600 passengers had taken their seats, the show began. Hosted by two compères in 17th-century style costumes, befitting of the former Dubrovnik Republic, the audience was taken on a journey through the region's rich dance culture, from the inception of the Linđo folklore dance to modern choreography.

Titled Dubrovnik's Dance Future & History, the show included musical performances from the KUD Marko Marojica folklore ensemble's music and dance ensembles as well as the award-winning Step n' Jazz School of Dance.
