Montenegro's New Luxury Hotels

Montenegro is well-established as a luxury travel destination with the super-yacht marina resort of Porto Montenegro open since 2014 and the private island resort of Aman Sveti Stefan offering the kind of exclusivity and privacy rarely found on the Adriatic Coast.

The country's offer has expanded in 2020 and will continue to do so in 2021 with more five star openings. We've put together a rundown of hotels and resorts that you may have missed. Each of these properties is guaranteed to offer your clients a truly luxurious place to stay on their vacation in Montenegro.

Iberostar Heritage Grand Perast

The former sea captain's town of Perast once fell under the Venetian Republic and dates back to the 15th century. Its charming white stone villas and palaces dazzle in the summer sun and the Heritage Grand Perast is one of the town's architectural masterpieces. Perast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and after a short walk along the seafront, it becomes clear why. The hotel's combination of deluxe and superior rooms and suites offers guests light and chic accommodation with all the modern facilities you'd expect. Enjoy a dip in the outdoor pool located on the waterfront or make the most of the spa facilities. Three restaurants offer a mix of relaxed and a la carte dining with picturesque views.

Lazure Marina & Hotel

Lazure Boutique Hotel is housed in the 18th-century quarantine buildings of Herceg Novi. The stunning stone building offers 24 modern rustic-style guest suites with sea, garden, or courtyard views. Two restaurants and three bars (wine, lounge, and beach) give guests plenty of options to enjoy brilliant Montenegrin wines and modern Mediterranean dishes prepared using local produce. Lazure's indoor swimming pool is complemented by a variety of saunas, a Jacuzzi, and a hammam. Spa treatments are available in the hair and beauty salon and guests can take advantage of a well-equipped gym and outdoor workout area.

One&Only Portonovi

Described as an enchanting escape in the Balkans, One&Only Portonovi is the luxury resort collection's first opening in Europe. One&Only Portonovi presents its guests with lush accommodation in rooms, suites, and villas. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for perfectly framed views and indulgent interiors inspired by cerulean seas provide relaxing surroundings for a good night's sleep.

Guests will enjoy world-class cuisine in the hotel's Sabia restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli. A host of expertly-curated experiences in Boka Bay and beyond. The Chenot Espace Health & Wellness Spa will be a haven for guests, offering indulgent spa treatments using the finest products. Additional facilities include a tennis club, conference and event space, and kids club. The hotel will officially open on 21 March 2021.

The Ritz-Carlton, Montenegro 

Scheduled to open in 2024, The Ritz-Carlton, Montenegro will be located on the Lustica peninsula. A short 30-minute drive from Tivat International Airport and two hours from Dubrovnik, the hotel and residences will have panoramic views over the crystal clear the Adriatic Sea. The Rit-Carlton will boast 120 rooms, two restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, a salt-water Lido pool, beach bar, and world-class spa and fitness facilities. Guests will also be able to take advantage of Ritz Kids and Teen clubs. Expansive outdoor spaces are also planned, to provide picturesque settings for events with unobstructed views of the surrounding nature.
