Known as Croatia's Green Island, Mljet is a popular destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. A third of the island is a designated national park, home to some of the most beautiful forests of Aleppo pine in the Mediterranean.
Famous for its lakes, breathtaking scenery, miles of bike and hiking trails, Mljet's offer has been further improved with the launch of new travel products. Account Specialist, Nikolina Palavra recently attended a workshop run by Mljet National Park where the park's new tourist products were presented.
New hiking routes, educational tours, diving, bike, kayak and canoe excursions were revealed, all perfect for travelers who love to be active outdoors. Five walking tours, four hiking routes, a Mljet by Car tour covering eight key locations and an educational tour from Polače to the islet of Sveta Marija have been developed as part of the new offer for 2022.
Nikolina was able to experience one of the hiking routes during the workshop, walking up to the Montokuc viewpoint above the park's lakes, “It's easy to see why Mljet makes so many travelers’ must-visit lists when vacationing in Croatia. Its breathtaking scenery and untouched nature provide the perfect escape to wind down.
“These new routes and travel programs add a brilliant range of experiences on Mljet for tourists on the island and we'll now be working on adding them in to our land tours and shore excursions for 2022 and beyond. “
