Adriatic DMC scoops mid-sized DMC agency of the year at top tourism conference

Adriatic DMC, won mid-sized DMC agency of the year at the 'Tourism Flower – Quality for Croatia' awards held at the Croatian Tourism Days conference in Sibenik, last night.

Adriatic DMC operations director Ivan Gavranic and marketing and project manager, Kim Butigan, were on hand to collect the award at the annual conference organized by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, Croatian National Tourist Board, and Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK).

The award was presented by Dragan Kovacevic, vice president of the HGK to operations director Ivan Gavranic: “I'm delighted for the team, whom this award recognizes first and foremost. Their professionalism, hard work, and commitment to delivering exceptional travel programs in Croatia are second to none. Our services have long been deemed excellent by our partners so to be recognized by our peers with this award, is an honor and a confirmation of our reputation. “

The Dubrovnik-based DMC has played a key role in the return to travel following the outbreak of the global pandemic, working closely with the world's leading cruise companies and local and national governments to facilitate cruising on Croatia's Adriatic Coast. Adriatic DMC's operations have resumed to pre-pandemic levels this summer and the company forecasts a bumper season for 2023.

Croatian Tourism Days takes place across two days and brings together business leaders, politicians, and tourism industry professionals for a series of panel discussions, presentations, and workshops. The conference opened with the presentation of the Croatian National Tourist Board's Sustainable Tourism Strategy to 2030 and a panel on tourists of the future.
