This March, Adriatic DMC joined India's only multi destination roadshow, the Outbound Travel Roadshow (OTR). Created as a platform for international travel companies, operators, agencies, airlines and overall tourism industry to connect with Indian travel partners, OTR this year was held in New Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai from March 17-22.
The participation at OTR gave us an incredible insight into the Indian outbound market, and enabled us to gauge our represented destination’s appeal and product placement opportunities.
We had met with over 200 Indian travel agents across the three cities, all of who expressed strong interest in Croatia and the Adriatic coastline, confirming the destination appeal to the Indian market. Meetings, workshop events and business dinners through the roadshow provided for new relationship building opportunities, gaining product knowledge, trends insight and more. Our objectives were to gain understanding of the Indian market, and network with domestic trade industry, both of which we completed successfully.
The Indian tourism industry is growing fast, and we believe that with all the new connections we made during OTR, we will be hosting more and more business from India.
Aside of the impeccably run show with a multitude of networking opportunities among quality buyers, our representatives truly enjoyed getting to know the destination and are eager to return to India in the future.
